Consciously made, with love and intention.
MuD strives to become a contributing conscious member of its community while maintaining a small environmental footprint.
Heres the breakdown:
Farmers Market :
Where do communities congregate (safely and distanced following COVID19 protocols)? The Farmers Market! Ever since I was a wee one, I've always loved the farmers market and it has been an honest to goodness dream come true to partake in it for the first time this season! Being apart of the ever growing community of local growers, makers, & bakers, of locals supporting locals, has been outstanding! I look forward to every single farmers market.
Shopping Local :
MuD has recently had the pleasure of partnering with Sirious Science & Nature! Sirius Science and Nature is an awesome little local shop that has a great selection of toys, hobby and science supplies, AND polymer clay! Sirious Science has been apart of the community since I was a child, and the opportunity to partner up and help support this fantastic local legend is incredibly exciting.
Partnering w. Small :
Whimsy & Wry Bridal + The Long Gallery are both run by absolute local rockstars! Between Amanda and her ethical, international, indie treasure trove & Jenny and her inviting space for local artists and art lovers alike! Its been an honour to work with these ladies and their amazing businesses. Local supporting local. Want to see a complete list of current stockists? Click here.
Giving Back :
I have long believed that part of being a conscious contributing member of your community, is raising awareness and support of social inequalities present. When starting MuD, I wanted to ensure that it adopted this belief and was 'local' in a meaningful sense.
PRIDE collection donation - In the Name of Love and K. McLean of Boundless Bell Dance were due to host FEARLESS, a fundraising event raising money for counselling resources for the local LGBTQ2+ community. MuD donated all of the pieces from its first PRIDE collection to the auction to help raise funds for this amazing fundraiser. * Sadly, due to COVID19 the event was canceled, they hope to reschedule once things have calmed and it is safe to do so. 100% profits from BLM Collection donated - BLACK LIVES MATTER. say it again. BLACK LIVES MATTER! The systemic racism, injustices and inequalities that face the Black community is undeniable and egregious. We must speak up, we must take action, we must transform. Personal commitment to the cause aside, I wanted MuD to take action and support in its own way. MuD donates 100% of the profits earned from the BLM collection to BLMVancouver.
