Mindful Making :
Reworking and repurposing all ‘scraps’, by blending them into new and unique one of a kind colours and small batch collections, ensures no polymer goes to waste! MuD is also made slowly and with intention. Taking a side step away from the fast fashion industry, to focus on something that is slowly, handcrafted with care from me to you.
Beyond the clay, MuD is mindful of its paper usage - all printed papers and business marketing materials are printed on 100% recycled paper.

Reclaimed Resources :
When building MuDs displays for market, I wanted to work with renewable resources and reclaimed pieces. It took a little more time to find the right pieces and learn to use the power tools, but all of MuDs market displays are hand crafted from wood ends reclaimed from a local Pine mill and a few sheets of plywood rescued from another project.
Progressive Packaging :
organic - the signature MuD drawstring pouch, is handmade from 100% organic cotton
recycled - MuD ships in 100% recyclable, reusable, corrugated cardboard boxes that are made of 45% up to 60% recycled materials. *Bonus* they are made here in BC!
compostable - all MuD heart confetti is made from biodegradable, plantable wildflower and/or herb seed paper. * read more below!
Seed Paper
Wait... so I can plant the PAPER ?! You betcha!!
meet Botanical Paperworks, a fantastic little Vancouver based company that makes plantable seed paper!
Plantable seed paper is a biodegradable eco-paper that is made with post-consumer materials (no trees harmed for this paper!) and embedded with seeds. When the paper is planted in a pot of soil, the seeds grow and the paper composts away. All that is left behind is flowers or herbs, and no waste. It's easy to plant and grow; check out a few seed paper growing photos below, taken through my trials this summer!
